Updating Agent remotely
When new versions of monitor software appear, the necessity of
reinstallation on users’ computers would be a serious problem in the case of
networks including many computers. Therefore the system provides the capability
of updating Agent directly from the uplook
level.
To update Agent software installed in Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, Microsoft
Windows 2000 or Microsoft Windows XP use remote setup
command which is available from the Agent Update Agent... menu or directly from a
network “tree” on the tool bar.
To update monitor software in Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft
Windows 98 SE or Microsoft Windows Me a connection with Agent has to be established. Then, from
the main menu select Agent Update... A typical dialogue box for
selecting a file will be displayed on a screen. In this box select an update file received from the producer or downloaded from http://www.uplook.net, and then click the Open buttonuplook
sends an update to Agent and
disconnects. After some seconds Agent should
automatically resume work and establish a connection with uplook.
