Updating pattern application base

A current application pattern base can be downloaded from the uplook producer’s server or can be accessed directly from a file.

To download a current pattern base from the Internet, select Applications Patterns Download Application Patterns... from the main menu. While the update is performed, a dialogue box is displayed on the screen showing the progress of the operation. When downloading is completed, uplook analyses all applications which have not been identified yet and updates results of all audits in a database.

If a user has obtained an updated pattern base in some other way e.g. as an e-mail message attachment or on a diskette, a pattern base can be updated by selecting Applications Patterns Import Patterns from File... A typical dialogue box for selecting a file will be displayed on the screen. When you highlight a file, click OKWhen downloading is completed, uplook analyses all applications which have not been identified yet and updates results of all audits in a database.
