Define extra fields

To increase software functionality, particularly for software audit companies, uplook enables you to define maximum five additional fields, which can be used to store any information a user enters while auditing or after audit has been completed.

To define additional fields select Applications Define Audit Extra Fields... A dialogue box for defining fields will be displayed on the screen.

Fields names should be entered in the Label column. In the Length column you should specify the length of each field. In a software version designed for auditing, four fields have been provisionally defined (their lengths are given in brackets): Name (16), ID COA (24), System COA (24) and Desc (128).

The values for defined fields are filled in according to a type of audit. In the case of remote files scanning, values can be specified only when you view results on the Audit tab in the main program window. For audits which were performed using an external scanner, the values can be entered before you start scanning files.

Definitions of extra fields are not used by MS DOS Scanner and Unix/Linux Scanner.
