Most frequently used applications
A
pie chart showing the most frequently used applications is a statistics module which can be accessed by clicking on the toolbar on the Statistics
tab or selecting Statistics
Applications from the main menu.
The chart provides a percentage comparison of applications activity, ranking
them from the most to the least frequently used ones. The comparison involves calculation
of the rate of application usage with respect to other programs. If two programs
were active, one for 8 minutes and the other for 2 minutes, their respective
usage rate is 80% / 20%.
A pie chart can be used in two work modes. In the first one, when you
select Statistics
By Activity Time from the main menu or
click on the toolbar, application activity time is a
criterion for an analysis. Whereas in the other mode, which is available after
you select Statistics
By Foreground Activity Time from the
main menu or click on the toolbar, the time an application was
used as a foreground one is a criterion for analysis.
To facilitate the analysis, you can specify aliases for application
names. For this purpose right click on a selected application inside the pie
chart legend and select Application
Names Aliases… from the displayed context menu. A dialogue
box for aliases will be displayed on a screen.
As including much data on one chart would make it unclear, it is
possible to chose the number of applications the chart it to show. In the Display max. edit field you can enter or (using relevant buttons) set a number from the
range of 2 - 32.
The legend displayed below shows beside applications’ names the values
of their usage rates.
It is possible to distinguish a selected application. For this purpose,
select a desired application from the drop-down list in the Application frame. If an application is distinguished, a
relevant part of a pie chart is “cut out” and a relevant line of the legend is
written in bold characters. Additionally, the chart is attached with the
specification of work time and activity for the selected application.
