The main window

Below you can see an example layout of the program main window, which is displayed once the program is started.

The main window includes standard elements of Windows user interface. The menu includes all program commands. In the toolbar the ones that are most frequently used have been gathered. The navigation bar consists of two tabs. The Network tab is used to display and configure the network and it enables to establish connections with Agents. The Licences tab enables to handle licences for the software used. The remaining part of the program main window which is called an information panel, can be used after opening a user and it is designed to view and edit data and to analyse information received from an Agent. Below you can see an example of a layout of the program main window after a user has been opened.

After opening a user, the information panel includes several tabs for each group of information which is collected by uplook.

  • General - general user's data, the history of commands sent to and from Agent.
  • Hardware - information on subassemblies mounted in a user’s computer.
  • Audit - software audit results for a user’s computer.
  • Comparison - a comparison of any two, selected software audits.

The statlook module version includes tabs such as:

  • Screen - a copy of a user's screen.
  • Processes - the list of processes which are running on a user’s computer.
  • Files - the list of hard disks, network drives, documents, recently used files and visited Web sites.
  • Statistics - statistic data showing how and how efficiently a computer and application are used by a user.
  • weblook - the history and overview of visited Web sites.
