Powerlook is the newest module of the Statlook System. This innovative tool allows you to manage the energy consumption of computers. Powerlook is a guarantee of savings.

Configuration options are numerous. One of them is adding schedules for turning devices on and off. Importantly, users will receive information about the scheduled shutdowns.

The module gives also the ability to remotely turn on computers (WakeOnLan) on demand or according to a schedule. It allows users to easily wake up their computers via StatlookWeb portal from home or a remote office.

Soon, the module will gain several new features. One of them will be checking and analyzing the computer performance statistics (CPU load, RAM load).

By managing energy consumption wisely, you will not only save money, but also make contribution to building a positive, eco-friendly image of your organization.

We constantly monitor the changing environment in which our users operate and ensure that the solutions we offer always comply with the needs. 

Home office and hybrid work increased the need for remote, automated infrastructure management and monitoring employee safety and activity. That is why, major changes in Statlook 15.0 include: a new, universal organizational structure for resources\users\licenses, voice and video chat time monitoring (e.g. Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet), and integrating Statlook with Azure inbound and outbound client. We've also added many user-suggested improvements in all Statlook modules. 

Statlook 15.0.0.

Updating the software to the latest version is free for all users with active Maintenance Plans. The new version of Statlook will soon receive further updates (15.x), e.g.: Single Sign On and dark mode for master. 

Organizational view: 

  • New organizational structure manage your users, hardware and licenses easily,
  • Scheduled synchronization of organizational view groups – define a schedule for importing Active Directory data; perform a scan of network resources at the level of either the selected groups or the entire organizational view. 

Better integration with Active Directory (organizational view): 

  •  Automatic import of information about computers and users from Active Directory, 
  • Printers – import printer information from AD,
  • Domain forest – import the structure for the domain forest,
  • Mapping – map AD object attributes with additional attributes for objects in Statlook. 

Voice and video call time monitoring: 

  • Camera and microphone usage the agent automatically detects the usage of the microphone and camera (video and audio are NOT recorded). Activity details are presented in a new report,
  • Online conversations and working timevideo and audio call data are automatically analyzed and considered in the working time statistics. 

Reporting:

  • File details a new periodic report informing what types of files are stored on computers,
  • Sent files a new periodic report informing what files were sent using browsers (e.g. attachments). 

Object history: 

  • Change monitoring –  the object history report (users, resources, licenses, applications, etc.) provides information on the service account responsible for a given modification. You can check whether the modification was automatic (performed by the server) or manual (performed by a user). 

Postal accounts: 

  • Exchange – integrate Statlook with Azure for e-mail. Set up your Exchange (Confidential) e-mail client.

Helpdesk:

  • The "Requires action" column has been added. Now it’s clearly visible whether you should wait for more information from a user or act/respond,
  • A new, user-friendly, and intuitive Kanban view interface.

New features – statlook 13.1.0

Our mission to make Statlook better, faster and even more user friendly resulted in releasing (Statlook 2019 v 13.1.0). We added several new functions and options: cyclic reports, file monitoring,  logged-in users report and some new features in GDPR Module.

Where are the users?

 

1. The view of the loogged Statlook users helps to manage their activity. You will know whether they use Master Console or Statlook Web, and you can easily log them out.

Monitoring upload

Weblook section in Personnel Tab contains a brand new report – Web File Upload. Protecting, and increasing the security of your organization is one of our main goals.

Automatization – Resource History

Do you need the history of an inventory item shown as a handy report? Or maybe you wish to be informed about maintenance agreements? There are new reports, new triggers and alerts – now you can automate more of your daily tasks.

GDPR and Helpdesk Novelties

Perfecting our features is very important so now you can adjust visibility of many parameters. It will optimize the view and allow you to save your precious time looking for specific data.

Another optimization was extending the mail account notification settings. You will not receive any unnecessary information in your notification e-mails.

GDPR Module in 13.1 Statlook version was changed in order to let you grant access to (or entrust) not only data sets but also whole processes.

One more novelty worth mentioning is showing the status (Active/Canceled) of all Accesses and Entrustings.

#2 Automation Module - Use Case

The Automation Module is another big step towards saving your time. What is more, you will be able to keep up with the relevant information.

Statlook 2019 introduces a completely new functionality - automatic notifications (e.g. e-mail). It means better communication between Statlook and system Administrators. Make your work easier - create rules and decide when you want to be informed about events!

Below we show an example of how our new Automation Module will help you in your everyday work.

Step 1.

You want to receive notifications of expiring warranties one week before the end, and one week after the end of a warranty. In the wizard, we select the type of rule that we want to create - in our case it will be “The end of warranty” notification.

Step 2.

You simply select the dedicated resources to which the rule is to be applied. Remember that you can specify any number of resources.

Step 3.

In the next step, you specify the time when you will receive the notifications. We can decide whether it should be one specific time or choose a few options (e.g. one week before and one week after the warranty expires).

Step 4.

Choose the action. In our case, it is just sending an e-mail. We define recipients of the notification. They can be either the users from your organization selected from the list or any other e-mail addresses.

Step 5.

Name your rule, enter a description if you feel you might need it, select notification category and enjoy the time saved!

 

#2 Automation module - main features

• Create rules and triggers to automate IT tasks

February is a period of intense work on the new version of the statlook system for our programming departments.

Starting today, we will inform you about the most important features that will appear in statlook 2019!

# 1 Absence Management Module

The absence module is an online tool that, based on electronic holiday requests, automates the process of managing leaves and other absences in the company.
Simple, intuitive and effective!

The module enables servicing the whole process of acceptance and control the use of holidays without paper documents. Absence management module is a tool which, based on electronic holiday applications, automates the process of managing holidays and other absences in the company. Employees can report different types of absences. These can be holidays, illness, as well as remote work, delegations and other circumstances. The module also gives the possibility to restrict access to selected types of absences for individual employees or co-workers. Our module is efficient holiday management, thanks to the possibility of building multi-level acceptance processes. The accepting person can be both a regular employee, a supervisor, the whole team, as well as a substitute person. The module allows you to add medical exemption and other documents using the drag & drop mechanism. Another important functionality is the possibility of integration with Active Directory, as well as inheritance of rights on the absent line - the deputy. Absence management module  is a comprehensive solution, automating the flow of information on absences, as well as transparency, who is responsible for what in absence.

• Reporting absences by employees.
• Automatic acceptance of requests for absence based on the structure of employees.
• Synchronization of employees' structure with Active Directory.
• Defining your own types of absence (Dictionary).
• Assigning replacements. • Inheritance of allowances absent - deputy.

# 2 Automation Module

Statlook 2019 (v. 13.0.0) is another great step in the direction of progressive automation. We will do everything to provide you with the most relevant information possible

Better communication with system administrators means faster response and less wasted time. Statlook 2019 introduces a completely new Automation module with notifications (e.g. e-mail). Now it is really easy to make your IT work easier ???? Create your own rules and decide how you want to be informed about things going on in your network!

# 3 Bizlook - advanced reportitng module

The new Bizlook report combines the most important information about user activity. All crucial information in one report – just perfect for any manager with people to manage. Available both in desktop version and online – you will be able to view the data anywhere you go.

From now on you do not have to worry about preparing any “boring” reports  - as the Administrator, you can let all the managers see their teams performance. Just check the appropriate setting.

# 4 Statlook 2019 - even more new features!

Absences - now you can manage all types of leaves of absence in Statlook. Do everything in one place. Make your work easier by assigning automatic replacements during the employee's holiday. An employee is ill? Unexpected situation? This time, it will not take you by surprise! Everything is available online. The report is integrated with Bizlook – the information about any absences will be available automatically.

Helpdesk - New Statlook 2019 will bring new features soon. Save you time looking for the reporting machine – just connect through DirectPC directly from the notification level.

DELL support needed? Now IT is really easy. You need to get the information about equipment quickly? We have introduced ServiceTag for DELL computers - find the valid information about the hardware and drivers – no better source than the manufacturer’s website.

License compliance online! A few clicks in the browser and you are ready - a clear and comprehensive report. Now you can perform your license and software check without the desktop version of Statlook. Make your software audit easily - it will help you with wise and quick purchases of the software you need!

The newest statlook version is a result of our focus on enhancing the functions concerning the personnel, Helpdesk system and company's inventory monitoring. This does not mean, however, that we have avoided presenting you with absolutely new features; on the contrary, we have introduced a number of new functions which are even more in line with your everyday duties. The freshest corner is a function of creating periodic reports. Using them will guarantee you more time and energy necessary to focus on more important tasks - to ensure the inner IT infrastructure security.
